FAQs & Tips

This is my first sobada, how do I prepare for my session?

I recommend to not to eat within two hours of your session, we are going to be working on your belly and dont want the fullness to be bothersome. Also to attend with an open heart and mind.

Will it hurt?

Sobadas are not meant to be "gentle or soft", this is bodywork that we are doing. It is a medicinal rubdown to help with mind, body and soul blockages.

I have an IUD, can I still get a sobada?

Unfortunately, I cannot give sobadas to those with an IUD due to movement of the stomach and/ or womb space.

I have a bad back, do I have to do my sobada on the floor?

No, I have a massage table available to those who may need. Simply ask :) and I can get that set up for you.

I got my first sobada, now what?

After care includes to not injest (eat/drink) anything cold for the rest of the day of receiving your sobada. Trust me, you'll be ok w/o your ice cream for the day lol . You may also experience soreness the next day.  Try to keep warm at all times :)
